Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon plummets

Help and Contact UsTerms of ServiceRSS Ad ChoicesOverlooked amid the myriad issues following the latest Washington Redskins’ debacle has been the precipitous decline in production from Pierre Garcon, who with one catch for six yards in Sunday’s 27 7 loss to Tampa Bay, had his worst performance since coming to the District.Clearly DeSean Jackson has emerged as the Redskins’ new No. 1 wide receiver, but Garcon owners still can’t help but wonder how a player who caught a league high 113 passes appears completely disconnected from the offense. Over the first three games, Garcon had 32 targets and 22 receptions. Since then he’s caught 21 passes on 32 targets in seven games. With no end in sight for the Redskins’ offensive futility, Garcon has dropped from high end WR1 to reach flex. Certainly keep him on the bench in Week 12 when Washington plays inSan Francisco against the 49ers. It’s in Week 13 when Garcon gets a crack at his former team, the Indianapolis Colts, that hehas perhaps a final opportunity to become fantasy relevant. After stomping the Redskins on Sunday,

Teammate Roddy White instead has caught three touchdowns in four games, leaving Jones downgraded to fringe WR1/high end WR2 heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns.Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers: The MVP discussion no longer involves Rivers, who has one touchdown and three interceptions over the last two games in which the Chargers have scored 13 points combined. Rivers remains a QB1 but on the lower end entering his game against St. Louis. The Rams have allowed the ninth fewest points to the position and own the No. 14 pass defense.Darren Sproles, RB, Eagles: Following a fast start to the season, Sproles has scored once from scrimmage over the last three games and touched the ball 13 times for a combined 138 yards. The Eagles appear content to get the ball downfield to wide receivers in order to generate points,

Basketball Training Tips

Playing basketball and getting an education for it or earning a living doing it. What could be better? I’m going to talk very briefly about what it takes to play basketball in high school, college and at the professional level.

Basketball Training Tips What does it take to play basketball?

Some people would say the first requirement to play basketball is height. I say they are wrong. I’ve seen basketball players that are 5’3′,
babyliss barbe 3 jours, 5’5",
babyliss look, 5’7" and 5’10" in the NBA and in other professional leagues. Height is a nice thing to have if you want to play basketball but you don’t have to be 6’4" to play. If you are in the 5’6" to 6’4" range you do have to be fast, you have to be a very good ball handler and court vision doesn’t hurt. Being fast is not something that is learned but being a good ball handler can be learned with hours of practice, and making smart passes and having court vision can be learned by playing as the point guard in most of your games.

To play basketball and to be considered good or above average the first thing you need is a passion for it. You need to really love the game of basketball. If you feel that natural high that comes with contributing to a team win and if you really hate losing, and when you loose you practice twice as hard the next day so that it doesn’t happen again you qualify as having a passion for basketball. If you want to play the best competition and show them that you’re better than them then you are in the right track.

If you’re 6’8" and very talented and have a real chance of being a star but you can’t listen and you think you’re above being coached then you will probably end up wasting your talent and missing your chance. On the other hand if you’re 5’8" and very talented and you listen and do everything your coach tells you to do and you practice every single day and you practice when you get home from practice and work hard you have a real chance at reaching your dream.

So basically all it takes to play at a high level is being able to listen,
babyliss lisseur pro 230, practice, practice and more practice ( pick up games,
fer babyliss, 21, high school games, league games) watch games on TV and learn the sport, read about the sport and understand what the great ones did to get to where they are. Only a certain amount of folks will do what it takes to move to the next level. I’ve seen people with more talent than most and they thought that they were so good that they did not practice or listen when it really mattered or as much as they should have. It doesn’t matter if it’s sports, business,
seche cheveux babyliss pro 2000, or your family. If you practice to get better you will eventually reach your goal. We all have seen some great small guys in the NBA. Trevor Booker brings his ‘go crazy’ energy to Wizards’ front

Help and Contact UsTerms of ServiceRSS Ad ChoicesTrevor Booker’s biggest impact on the Wizards last season was bringing energy to the floor. He still plans to ‘go crazy’ this season, but has worked on a midrange jumper to make him more of a threat to score. The woodsy locale matches the rugged, lumberjack like style that Booker brings to basketball. But Booker spent most of his time in Pigeon Forge,

babyliss e955e, physical defense and look to force turnovers. The 6 foot 7 forward out of Clemson rarely leaves the game feeling like he left something behind."His energy level is contagious," Coach Randy Wittman said. "When you’re playing out there with him, you can look silly if you’re not the same level. Having guys like that is always good to have."Booker had a team high 12 points and two rebounds in 16 minutes Wednesday night in the Wizards’ 104 101 loss to the Raptors at Air Canada Centre. He watched from the bench in the closing seconds as Bradley Beal had his potentially tying three pointer blocked.Booker was one of the bright spots during the Wizards’ disappointing 2011 12 season. He replaced Andray Blatche as the starter at power forward and averaged 10.6 points and 8.3 rebounds in the season’s final 29 games. He developed plantar fasciitis in his left foot during a late season victory over Philadelphia and, for the second year in a row, was unable to play in April meaning that he missed the stretch of games when the Wizards won six straight and eight of 10 overall."I had a pretty good year last year, besides getting hurt. My confidence was sky high before I got hurt," Booker said. "This year, I’m looking to stay healthy and build off last year."But after an offseason in which he had two platelet rich plasma treatments in his left foot in New York and did corrective work almost daily with the Wizards’ training staff, Booker was slowed down for much of the preseason with a strained left hamstring. He made his preseason debut in Toronto. The Wizards have had trouble developing chemistry with their revamped front line, with Nene missing the entire camp because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot and Kevin Seraphin recently suffering a strained right calf. Emeka Okafor, Jan Vesely and Chris Singleton are also in the mix up front.Wittman is tinkering with lineups in the preseason to find a unit that works well together, but Booker doesn’t expect to have a problem fitting into the rotation when the games start to matter."I think my role will remain the same," Booker said. "When I get back on the court, I just like to, I call it, ‘Go crazy.’ Rebound. Just hustle. Bring energy. It pumps the team up, gets the crowd into it. And I think we’re a better team like that."Booker got most of his points scoring near the basket, with dunks and rebound putbacks, but Wittman wants to see how Booker has improved his midrange jump shot to provide the Wizards with a dimension that they currently don’t have.Last season, Booker made 69.2 percent (119 of 172) of his shots near the rim, but only 36.5 percent (61 of 167) from everywhere else."I worked on it most of the summer," Booker said of his 15 foot jumper he was 6 of 8 Tuesday night, his makes all coming near the rim and his miss coming on his only midrange attempt. "That’s pretty much the thing I focused on. I feel pretty comfortable taking it."Booker, John Wall and Seraphin have been with the team for the longest tenures, and Booker has grown considerably since the Wizards moved up to draft him 23rd overall in 2010. But the 24 year old Booker is not ready to proclaim himself one of the older players even though he’s older than eight of the players under contract."Some guys are way older not way older, but they’re up there so I’ll say, no," Booker said with a laugh, while adding that he, Wall and Seraphin have been through a lot in their short time in Washington. "We’ve seen some things. We haven’t seen it all, but we’ve seen some things." 相关的主题文章:

Unlike auto factories and steel mills

Economy and America’s Place in the World

Congress today is how harmful its parochial views have become to America’s long term global economic interests.

Parochialism was always in the character of the House of Representatives. After all, its members appeal for renewed employment every two years based primarily on how they voted on issues that resonate with their constituencies. But now, Congress’ provincial view of globalized economics, specifically as this relates to immigration reform, is putting the economic future of the nation in peril and undermining America’s global leadership.

Today, a nation’s wealth and potential are as likely to be measured by the innovative power of that country by the percentage of the economy that is involved in high tech industries as it is by the amount of steel mills or the presence of other traditional fixed assets.

Unlike auto factories and steel mills, the key assets of knowledge based industries are not fixed; they consist of highly educated engineers and entrepreneurs, people who, if the political climate in the country becomes too arduous, or if the rule of law a sham, can easily get on an elevator in their building, go to the ground floor and walk out. Economists and business executives call moveable assets such as this "elevator assets."

In a way,
seche cheveux babyliss beliss, the 18th century concept of mercantilism has been revived. But rather than acquiring and maintaining as much gold as possible, the way it would under traditional mercantilist theory, a nation’s goal today is to acquire and retain as much intellectual capital as possible. High tech engineers and entrepreneurs are the new high priced commodity.

Ironically, the United States has a problem with elevator assets. The United States is the destination of choice for skilled engineers and technology entrepreneurs but they are not necessarily welcomed with open arms.

America’s comparative advantage today stems from its knowledge based industries,
babyliss hair dryer. But Congress has not caught up to the importance of global movements in human intellectual capital with the way these movements affect strategic industries and the geopolitical standing of the United States. They appear not to understand that knowledge based elevator assets are the new hot commodity and represent an inflow of investment into our country.

Here’s the result: While the United States allows unrestricted flows of capital into the country,
lisseur babyliss pas cher, known as foreign direct investment, Congress has limited the flow of modern day capital skilled engineers and tech workers by capping H 1B visas at a level that American technology companies know is far too low.

More than just high tech companies are damaged by the lack of immigration reform.

Immigration has long given the United States a key economic advantage over other leading nations. Aging populations combined with low birth rates are common among the leading industrial nations except in the United States,
tondeuse cheveux babyliss for men.

These countries have to answer the question of how they will maintain their populations’ standard of living as retiring baby boomers start to overwhelm the capacity of the balance of the population to support boomer retirement while creating new economic growth. The opposite problem haunts much of the non industrialized world, where birth rates are exploding.

In Japan more than 20 percent of the population is over age 65. The Japanese government estimates that if trends follow the same trajectory, 40 percent of the population will be older than 65 by 2060.

The European Commission has stated:

The proportion of people of working age in the EU is shrinking while the relative number of those retired is expanding. The share of older persons in the total population will increase significantly in the coming decades, which will lead to an increased burden on those of working age to provide for the social expenditure required by the aging population for a range of related services.

Meanwhile, in China, Helen (Hong) Qiao, Chief Greater China Economist at Morgan Stanley, is just one of many analysts wondering aloud whether China will grow old before it grows rich.

What makes the United States different is immigration. According Michael Hodin, blogging on The Fiscal Times:

Setting aside for a moment the everyday human tragedies wrought by the lack of immigration reform in the United States,
babyliss e600xe, that reform is vital if the country is to maintain its position in the world. It’s past time for congressional leadership to realize this. 相关的主题文章:

Schilling blasts Manny

Injured Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling threw some high heat at former teammate Manny Ramirez this afternoon on sports radio WEEI’s "The Big Show," saying the slugger’s "level of disrespect to teammates and people was unfathomable."

"The guy got to dress in a locker away from the team for seven years," said Schilling, talking via telephone with Glenn Ordway and former Sox players Lou Merloni and Brian Daubach. "And then [when] he’s on this crusade to get out of here, all of a sudden he’s in the locker room every day, voicing his displeasure without even having to play the game that night."

"Nothing makes a guy that respects the game and respects human beings like Terry Francona feel worse than looking at a guy and saying,
babyliss sabot, ‘Go ahead, [mess] with me, [mess] with your teammates, I’ll put you in the lineup,’ and then turn around to a guy whose there every day early working his [butt] off who gets 110 at bats a year and saying, "You know what? Yeah, I can’t put you in there tonight," Schilling said. "There were times when you had players who were on like fire duty, ‘Show up tomorrow, I’m not sure if you’re playing or not, we’ve gotta find out what [Manny] wants to do.’ That’s not fair to anybody."

Other comments from Schilling:

On whether David Ortiz was frustrated with Ramirez (Ordway noted that he appeared to be shortly before the trade): "What you guys hear and see is generally 10 to 20 percent of what exists."

On why he is speaking out now: "The thing about it for me, is, I haven’t thrown a freakin’ pitch all year, I’ve been the biggest waste of space, I’ve been robbing payroll for the entire season, no one feels worse about not contributing than me . . . I’m the last person in the world who should be telling you who’s right and who’s wrong in this. But I was a teammate, a member of this family, and I saw it, and it’s no different than what Lou [Merloni] and Brian [Daubach] saw. And to me, it was always those guys, the guys who played a crucial role on teams that weren’t the marquee players, are the ones that were disrespected the most, because if any of those players ever acted or did or said anything. [Speaking to Merloni:] Lou, you’re in Seattle, and if you refused to get on a team plane, you know what they’d do? They’d give you an Air France ticket home."

On whether teammates are upset Ramirez is doing so well with the Dodgers "I don’t know about [ticked] . . . as an everyday player,
babyliss ipro, with what you have to go through mentally, getting ready to play, you don’t spend a lot of energy worrying about stuff like that. I wouldn’t say [ticked], I’d probably say disappointed more than anything. Because the one thing about Manny is that he was . . . he was very kind, and well mannered, but there were spurts and times when you didn’t know who he was. You know, he was always kind and nice for the most part, but he’d show up the next day and say, ‘I’m through with this team,
tondeuse homme babyliss, I want out now.’

Perhaps the most damning quote about Ramirez during the interview came from Merloni:

"When all this stuff was going down with Manny, I remember walking in the clubhouse talking to a couple of guys, and I got one response that just threw me for a loop, and I said, ‘Guys, how bad is it?’ I knew it was bad, and I just said, ‘How bad is it?’ And all I heard,
babyliss i pro 230, what they told me, was, ‘Carl Everett.’ And I lived that nightmare. . . and when I heard that, I said,

» Williams said. «I feel like it’s working. I’ve got to continue to stay on this path

Trent Williams ran hills with Adrian Peterson in 102 degree heat this offseason

And sure, this is the standard training camp line. Williams, though, was particularly passionate in his delivery.

""I just think I worked really hard,
fer à boucler babyliss," the tackle said. "Really, really hard. A lot of stuff that we do in the offseason, a lot of people woudn’t dare do."

Like what?

"Like running hills in 102 degree weather with weight vests on,
pro 45 babyliss," he said. "Doing four sets of 15 on back squats. Stuff like that. Stuff that a lot of people would look at almost like boot camp. I started doing it with Adrian [Peterson] four years ago, and I love the results. So it’s definitely tough to do every day, but when you start to see the results, it makes it easy to get up and do it."

Williams said for the last month before training camp, he worked out with Peterson and others led by Houston based trainer James Cooper for about 20 hours a week. He said he usually loses about 10 pounds near the start of the workouts, but winds up putting the weight back on as muscle. He said he started camp this year at 338 pounds, three pounds more than he weighed a year ago, and that the last time he did weights before training camp he was squatting 415 pounds on his final set of 15.

And Williams said that Peterson has helped drive these offseason workouts.

"In college, with us coming from the same area, he took me under his wing, always held me to a higher standard than everybody else" Williams said. "Still to this day, if he feels like I’m slacking or I can do better or go harder, he definitely lets me know. He doesn’t hesitate to tell me ‘Hey Trent, it’s time to pick it up,
seche cheveux babyliss d261e, we’ve got to do better than last year.’ "

Williams said running hills in the sun with Peterson turned his skin tone "a couple shades darker" in recent weeks. So when they spend an hour together in the Texas heat, do they run together? Well. No.

"Hell nah, it’s not worth it," Williams joked. "I mean, [expletive], he busts his [butt]. I’ve just got my own little pace. I’m not gonna lie and say I keep up with him. He works out at a different pace, definitely. But yeah, to have a person like that who’s accomplished so much and he still works like he’s trying to make the team, for me I have no excuse not to do the same."

Williams has brought teammates to the sessions; this offseason, Perry Riley Jr. came for a week. And he said the workouts make training camp feel easy.

"Like I said,
epilateur babyliss electrolyse, I feel the results,
babyliss i pro 230," Williams said. "I feel like it’s working. I’ve got to continue to stay on this path, and who knows how good I can be, how strong I can get, how [much] better shape I can get in?.[Cooper] works the devil out of us, but we love it. A lot of people come and don’t come back. But a couple cats stay with it, and they see the results."
